Connecting the freezer
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If your freezer has been transported horizontal for an
extended period, lubricant from the compressor may
have got into the refrigeration circuit.
• In such case leave the freezer standing in its normal
position for approx. 12 hours before you switch it on.
This allows the lubricant enough time to flow back
into the compressor.
1. Clean the freezer before switching on for the first time. (See
chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, page EN-19.)
2. Dry the freezer thoroughly afterwards.
3. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed socket („Techni-
cal specifications“ on page EN-25).
4. Open the door.
5. Turn the temperature controller 1 to ‘MAX’. The compressor
starts to work after a short time, the refrigerant flows through
the pipes and a quiet humming can be heard.
