4.2 Generation of A Square Wave Function

Square wave is a non-sinusoidal waveform. There are only "high" and "low" the two values for an

ideal square wave.

Please follow these steps to output square wave:

1. Press Square wave button in the front panel, and if the waveform is setting as <modulation

mode>, <sweep mode> or <burst mode>, please turn off the mode;

2. Press channel output button in the front panel to open channel waveform output switch, then the

button is lighting;

3. Oscilloscope shows Square wave.

4. Modify the waveform <Duty>, the way is to press F5 button when it displays main menu of the

square wave. Then the selected parameter is highlighted.

5. Modify other parameters, please refer to <Generation Of A Sine Wave Function>

6. To change the parameters after being highlighted, user can use the front panel knobs and

digital keyboard to input parameter values. Please refer to the <Method of inputting parameters>.

7. To set the same phase between channel 1 and channel 2, please press F5 button when it

displays main menu of the square wave.

4.3 Generation of A Ramp Wave Function

Ramp wave is non-sinusoidal waveforms.

Please follow these steps to output ramp wave:

1. Press Ramp wave button in the front panel, and the waveform is setting as <modulation mode>,

<sweep mode> or <burst mode>, please turn the mode off;

2. Press channel output button in the front panel to open channel waveform output switch, then the

button is lighting;

3. Oscilloscope shows ramp wave.

4. To modify the waveform <Symmetry>, the way is to press F5 button when it displays main menu

of the square wave. Then the selected parameter is highlighted.

5. To modify other parameters, please refer to <Generation Of A Sine Wave Function>.

6. To change the parameters after being highlighted, use can use front panel knobs and digital

keyboard to input parameter values. Please refer to the <Method of inputting parameters>.

7. To set the same phase between channel 1 and channel 2, please press F5 button when it

displays main menu of the ramp wave.
