Procedure
Step Activity
1 Fill with fuel if necessary.
2 Remove the access cap for the fuel feed pump.
3 Actuate the manual lever(1) on the fuel feed pump until the fuel
audibly flows back into the fuel tank through the return line (2).
4 Install the access cap again.
7.3.2 Pumping fuel with the manual fuel pump
Requirements
Pre-pumping of fuel with the manual fuel pump is necessary in the following
situations:
▪ Engine shuts down due to empty fuel tank
▪ at first filling of the fuel tank
▪ after changing the fuel filter
