NOTICE

In case of heavy contamination, shorten the maintenance inter-
vals accordingly (see chapter 8.2.2 Maintenance plan, page 62).
Procedure
Step Activity
1 Check the supply and exhaust air areas for coarse contamina-
tion such as leaves, heavy dust deposits, etc., and clean if
necessary (see chapter 8.2.7 Cleaning the cooling fan, cooling
fins and oil cooler, page 72).
8.2.5 Change the engine oil
Safety notes
CAUTION
Danger of burns.
When working on the engine there is a danger of burns from hot
oil.
▪ Wear personal protective equipment (gloves).
▪ Collect the used oil and dispose of it according to local envi-
ronmental regulations.
NOTICE

▪ The engine must be level.
▪ The engine must be switched off.
▪ Only drain engine oil while it is warm.
