As required by E.C.E Regulation No. 94;
If the passenger’s front airbag
inflates, it can hit the rearward
facing child restraint system with
great force. The rearward facing
child restraint system can be
dislodged or struck with enough
force to cause very serious injury to
the infant.
If the
vehicle seat is t oo far forward, or the
child’s head is thrown forward
during a collision, an inflating front
airbag can strike the child with
enough force to kill or very seriously
injure a small child.
Whenever
possible, larger children should sit in
the back seat, in a booster seat if
needed, and be properly restrained
with a seat belt (see page for
important information about
protecting larger children).
In all cases observe the legal
requirements of the countries in
which you will drive.

Placing a f ront facing child restraint
system in the front seat of a vehicle
equipped with a passenger’s front
airbag can be hazardous.
Children who have out grown child
restraint systems are also at risk of
being injured or killed by an inflating
passenger’s front airbag.
