CYLINDER BLOCK INSPECTION
CAM SHAFT HOLDER I.D.
CRANKCASE COVER SIDE
Measure the camshaft holder I.D. of the crankcase
cover.
If the measurement is more than the service limit,
replace the crankcase cover (page 14-3).
Inspect the camshaft O.D. (page 14-12) with this
inspection.
CYLINDER BARREL SIDE
Measure the camshaft holder I.D. of the cylinder barrel.
If the measurement is more than the service limit,
replace the cylinder barrel (page 14-4).
Inspect the camshaft O.D. (page 14-12) with this
inspection.
CYLINDER SLEEVE I.D.
Measure and record the cylinder I.D. at three levels in
both the “X” axis (perpendicular to crankshaft) and the
“Y” axis (parallel to crankshaft). Take the maximum
reading to determine cylinder wear and taper.
If the measurement is more than the service limit,
replace the cylinder barrel (page 14-4).
Inspect the piston skirt O.D. (page 14-8) with this
inspection.
STANDARD: 16.000 – 16.018 mm

STANDARD: 77.000 – 77.017 mm

STANDARD: 82.000 – 82.017 mm

SERVICE LIMIT: 82.17 mm (3.235 in)
