AIR CLEANER SERVICE
Do not use gasoline or low flash point solvents for cleaning. They are
flammable and explosive under certain conditions.
Never run the generator without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear
may result.

Adirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburetor. To prevent
carburetor malfunction, service the air cleaner regularly. Service more
frequently when operating the generator in extremely dusty areas.
Loosen the maintenance cover screw and remove the maintenance
cover.
Reinstall the maintenance cover and tighten the cover screw
securely.
Reinstall the main and outer air cleaner elements and the air cleaner
cover. Tighten the cover screw securely.
Soak the elements incleanengine oil and squeeze out the excess oil.
Wash the main and outer air cleaner elements in a non-flammable
or high flash point solvent and dry them thoroughly.
Loosen the air cleaner cover screw, and remove the air cleaner cover.
