FUEL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
Idle Speed Adjustment
Perform this adjustment if the idle is slow or rough and you’re sure
the air cleaner and spark plug are in good condition. You must have
an accurate tachometer to properly measure engine speed.
1. Start the engine in an area with adequate ventilation to avoid
carbon monoxide poisoning.
Allow the engine to warm to
normal operating temperature.
THROTlLE STOP
2. With the throttle on SLOW, turn
the throttle stop screw in or
out to obtain the specified idle
speed.
Standard idle speed: 1,750 ~mo
