STARTING
THE
ENGINE

* Never run the engine in a closed area.
The
exhaust
contains poisonous
carbon
monoxide
gas.

Attempting
to
start
the
engine with
the transmission in gear
and
the c/u tch
engaged
may
result in injury
or
damage.
NOTE:
* This motorcycle can be kickstarted
with the transmission in gear by disen-
gaging
the
clutch before operating
the
kicks tarter.
Preparation
Make sure the transmission
is
in neutral,
and the engine
stop
switch
is
at
RUN.
Turn
the fuel valve ON. Insert
the
key
and
turn
the ignition switch ON.
Starting
Procedure
To
restart a warm engine, follow
the
procedure for "High Air
Temperature".
