3. Reinstall the engine oil filler cap and tighten securely.
Running the engine with a low oil level can cause engine damage.
This type of damage is not covered under the Distributor's Limited Warranty
(U.S.) / Distributor's Warranty (CA.).
Oil Change
Drain the used oil when the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and
completely.
1. Check that the fuel tank cap is tightened securely.
2. Place a suitable container below the powerhead to catch the used oil.
3. Remove the engine oil filler cap and drain the oil into the container
by tipping the powerhead toward the oil filler neck.
Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is compatible with
the environment. We suggest you take used oil in a sealed container to
your local recycling center or service station for reclamation. Do not
throw it in the trash, pour it on the ground, or pour it down a drain.

4. With the powerhead in a level position, fill to the bottom edge of the
oil fill hole with the recommended oil (see page 14).
Engine oil capacities
UMC425: 2.7 oz (0.08 L, 2.82 fl Imp oz)
UMC435: 3.3 oz (0.10 L, 3.52 fl Imp oz)
Some oil will remain in the powerhead after draining. When refilling
with fresh oil. Slowly add enough oil to fill to the bottom edge of the
oil fill hole as shown below. Do not overfill.

5. Reinstall the engine oil filler cap securely. If any oil is spilled, make
sure to wipe it up.
Wash your hands with soap and water after handling used oil.
