Starter Motor Operates But Engine
Does Not Start
Check the following items:
● Check the correct engine starting
sequence 2 P. 26
● Check that there is petrol in the fuel tank
● Check if the PGM-FI malfunction indicator
lamp (MIL) is ON
u If the indicator light is ON, contact your
dealer as soon as possible.

Starter Motor Does Not Operate
Check the following items:
● Check for a blown fuse 2 P. 91
● Check for a loose battery connection or
battery terminal corrosion 2 P. 42
● Check the condition of the battery 2 P. 86
If the problem continues, have your
motorcycle inspected by your dealer.
