A.3.1 X-record (Identification record)
For compatibility reasons the X-record is implemented. A default
answer will be given.
A.3.2 Time-out record
A time-out record will be transmitted to the computer system after an
instrument group command is transmitted to the connected field
instruments. The time-out record will also be transmitted if there was a
malfunction in the field or in case a field instrument is not responding.
A.4 Instrument answer records
After a correctly received instrument individual command, the
addressed instrument will answer to the CIU. This answer is passed on
to the computer system by the CIU (the CIU adds its own address to the
record).
