Replacement of Spectrum Condenser Control Module (CCM)
Replacement of one legacy Novar Spectrum CCM module requires installation of one XIO-CCM-S-H module.

Outside Air Temperature
Input:
Outside air temperature input to be
used with the Novar Low Temperature
Refrigeration Sensor (Part No.
733000000)
Outside air temperature input is not available on XIO-
CCM.
Adjust application programming to eliminate the
need for the input or add a RIM module with input
mode for 4 low temp and 3 pressure inputs then move
the link to the new module. No change to sensor
wiring if RIM module is used.
Discharge Pressure Input: Discharge pressure input to be used
with the Novar Discharge Pressure
Sensor (Part No. 733091000) wired
as +24VDC (Red), Ref Press (White),
GND (Black).
Discharge pressure input is not available on XIO-
CCM.
Adjust application programming to eliminate the
need for the input or add a XIO-RIM module with
input mode for 4 low temp and 3 pressure inputs then
move the link to the new module. No change to
sensor wiring if XIO-RIM module is used.
Outputs: 8 condenser fan relay outputs and 2
split valve relay outputs.
Outputs 1-5 are Form-A contacts
normally closed.
Outputs 6-10 are Form-C contacts
normally open and normally closed.
8 condenser fan relay outputs with Module Config
switch ON.

6 condenser fan relay outputs and 2 split valve relay
outputs with Module Config switch OFF.
All are Form-C normally open and normally closed.
Overrides: A single HOA switch controls the On-
Off-Auto overrides for all outputs.
Individual HOA switches for On-Off-Auto on each
output.
Application Programming: Application programming can have
links to condenser fan outputs from
#1 to #6 and dedicated split valve
controls are linked to outputs #9 and
#10. It may also be programmed for
up to 8 fan outputs.
Outputs #1 to #6 are dedicated as condenser fan
output in any mode.
Adjust application programming when any split valve
is used. The CCM module must be configured to
enable split valve mode. Application linking for
outputs #9 to #10 must be moved to output #7 and
#8 of the XIO-CCM in split valve mode. Discharge
pressure transducer input and ambient temperature
input are removed; no on-board logic for fan control
in the replacement module. Additional programming
may be required to eliminate the need for these
inputs.
