Battery board For use only on HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC 763710-001
The battery board is for select HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC computer models.
Before removing the battery board, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 32).
4. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 33).
5. Remove the base enclosure and keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 36).
Remove the battery board:
1. Turn the computer, with the front edge toward you.
2. Remove the two Phillips screws (1).
3. Lift the battery board (2) to remove it.
Reverse this procedure to install the battery board.
