Common Subsystem
The common subsystem consists of the BTS common subsystem and cabinet top
access subsystem.
The BTS common subsystem performs the following functions:
z Managing and controlling other subsystem and modules.
z Importing the E1 signal.
z Collecting and monitoring the environment alarm.
z Providing clock for the BTS.
z Controlling the Remote Electric Tilt (RET), and transmitting the signals from
the TMA to the BTS through the feeder cable.
The cabinet top access subsystem performs the following functions:
z Protecting the E1 signal from lightning.
z Protecting the monitor signal from lightning.
z Importing the Boolean value, and power supply.
z Connecting cabinets to form a combined cabinet or a cabinet group.

extended Boolean control signal output.
z Supports the external GPS and BITS synchronization
clock input.
DCCU Outputs or inputs the signal from or to the common
subsystem.
DCSU Connects signals of the combined cabinet or cabinet
group between the common subsystem and the
cabinet top access subsystem.
DATU
z Controls the functions of the RET antenna.
z Supplies working current for the TMA.
z Reports alarms related to the control of the RET
antenna and monitoring of the feed current.
