5.2 O&M Functions
The BTS3012 O&M system provides powerful O&M functions, which includes:
z Security Management
z Alarm Management
z Data Configuration
z Maintenance Management
5.2.1 Security Management
The BTS3012 authorizes maintenance engineers with layered operation rights to
ensure the security. At the same time, it prompts the possible outcome of
dangerous operations.
5.2.2 Alarm Management
The alarm management function of the BTS3012 can detect and report
equipment faults and abnormal functioning in a real time manner.
With this function, the BTS3012 can collect, clear, query, handle, save, explain,
prompt, filter, and analyze the alarm.
In addition, the online help and layered alarm filtering function help you to quickly
locate faults and provide fault recovery methods.
5.2.3 Data Configuration
The O&M subsystem of the BTS3012 allows addition, deletion, modification, and
consistency check of the BTS data. It supports both dynamic and static data
configurations.
5.2.4 Maintenance Management
The O&M subsystem of the BTS3012 provides the following maintenance
functions:
z Downloading software to boards or modules, or starting and initializing
boards or modules.
z Recording the interface tracing message and running status of the BTS
through log.
z Implementing the in-position test for the boards.
z Testing Abis links of the DTRU, testing channels, and self checking sites,
cells, carriers, and boards.
z Providing backup management for the active/standby DTMU.
