GROUP 2 TROUBLESHOOTING
ÂChange the pump.
ÂReplenish oil.
ÂChange the oil to regular oil.
ÂCheck and adjust the torque converter
pressure.
ÂCheck the cooler, and change all oil.
ÂChange the spring.
ÂRepair or change the valve.
ÂWash the orifice.
ÂChange the seal ring.
ÂMeasure the clutch pressure.
ÂChange the clutch plate.
ÂRepair or change the clutch piston.
TTrouble symptom
1. Output does not go up
1) Torque converter
- Torque converter oil
- Main body of torque
converter
ÂThe oil is in short supply.
ÂThe oil that is not regulated is used.
ÂThe air has mixed into oil.
ÂThe oil filter is clogging.
ÂThe stator free wheel is broken.
ÂThe stator free wheel is sticking.
ÂThe wheel with blades is broken or
it is touching other components.
ÂReplenish oil.
ÂChange the oil to regular oil.
ÂTighten each joint coupling and the pipe
further.
ÂWash the oil filter or change it.
ÂChange the stall revolution then if the
revolution is extremely low, change the free
wheel inner race, free wheel cam and roller.
ÂCheck the rise of the temperature of oil at no
load.
Change the free wheel inner race, free wheel
cam and roller when the temperature of oil
rises abnormally.
ÂCheck whether the aluminum powder and the
like has mixed into torque converter oil.
Change the wheel with blades if the aluminum
powder and the like has mixed in.
PProbable cause Remedy
2) Transmission
- Charging pump
- Torque converter oil
- Valve assy
- Clutch
 The pump does not operates
normally.
ÂThe oil is in short supply.
ÂThe oil that is not regulated is used.
 The air bubble occurs because the
torque converter pressure decrease.
ÂThe water has mixed into oil.
ÂThe clutch oil pressure has de-
creased, because the spring is
setting or break.
ÂThe valve does not move with the
valve opens.
ÂThe orifice is clogging.
ÂThe seal ring of the clutch piston
are damaged.
ÂThe clutch plate slips because the
clutch oil pressure decrease.
ÂThe clutch plate is worn out or
damaged.
ÂThe clutch piston down not operate
normally.
