3.3.3 Fault Tolerance
Tab l e 3 . 5 shows the fault tolerance features of the ServeRAID M5014
and ServeRAID M5015 SAS/SATA controllers.
3.3.4 Power Supply Requirements for the ServeRAID M5014/M5015
Controllers
All power is supplied to the controllers through the PCI Express 3.3V rails
and the 12V rail. Onboard switching regulator circuitry operating from the
3.3V rails and the 12V rail provide the necessary voltages. The following
states determine the typical current consumption of the controller:
State 1: During a hard reset
State 2: During a disk stress test
State 3: While sitting idle at the DOS prompt
