R DANGER! NEVER short the terminals of the battery
pack. Also, current may flow into nearby metal objects, such
as keys, and so on. Therefore, be careful when carrying with,
or placing near metal objects, carrying in bags, and so on.
R DANGER! Use and charge only specified Icom battery
packs with Icom transceivers or Icom chargers. Only Icom
battery packs are tested and approved for use with Icom
transceivers or charged with Icom chargers. Using third-party
or counterfeit battery packs or chargers may cause smoke,
fire, or cause the battery to burst.
R WARNING! NEVER hold the transceiver so that the
antenna is very close to, or touching exposed parts of the
body, especially the face or eyes, while transmitting.
R WARNING! NEVER operate the transceiver with a
headset or other audio accessories at high volume levels.
Hearing experts advise against continuous high volume op-
eration. If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce the
volume level or discontinue use.
R WARNING! NEVER operate the transceiver near
unshielded electrical blasting caps or in an explosive atmo-
sphere.
CAUTION: DO NOT use harsh solvents such as Ben-
zine or alcohol to clean the transceiver, because they can
damage the transceiver’s surfaces.
DO NOT place the transceiver in direct sunlight or in areas
with temperatures below –20°C or above +55°C.
KEEP the transceiver in a secure place to prevent use by
unauthorized persons.
KEEP the transceiver away from the heavy rain, and
NEVER immerse it in the water. The transceiver construc-
tion is water resistant, not waterproof.
CLEAN and wipe dry the battery terminals after using the
transceiver in wet conditions. The terminals may rust if not
dried before using.

IMPORTANT! IC-A15/A15S is for GROUND STATION
USE ONLY. The IC-A15/A15S CAN NOT and SHOULD
NOT be used in an aircraft or as the MAIN RADIO.
Icom is not responsible for the destruction or damage to the
Icom transceiver, if the malfunction is because of:
Force majeure, including, but not limited to, fires,
earthquakes, storms, floods, lightning, other natural disasters,
disturbances, riots, war, or radioactive contamination.
The use of Icom transceivers with any equipment that is not
manufactured or approved by Icom.
