The JRDG CONTINUUM
Integrated Amplifier has been
designed to operate at the
highest level of efficiency and
performance in any normal
operating situation; however,
there are a few important use
and care principles that must
be kept in mind when operating
the amplifier:
• Do not expose the amplifer
to rain, moisture, or excessively
damp conditions.
• Due to auto-ranging circuitry and
dual-stage voltage regulation, the
audio performance of the
CONTINUUM 500 will not be
affected by any voltage uctuations
within the operating voltage range.
The CONTINUUM 500 Integrated
Amplier can be operated at any
mains voltage over the range of 85
to 265 VAC without any adjustments
necessary. The CONTINUUM 250
Integrated Amplier requires internal
voltage change.
• The CONTINUUM Integrated Amplier
must not be modied in any way,
other
than according to ofcial service
bulletins from JRDG. Otherwise, the
factory warranty will be immediately
voided.
• Be sure the amplier is muted
(red front panel indicator light on)
before
connecting or disconnecting
any
interconnect cables.
• When operating the CONTINUUM,
a
properly grounded AC receptacle
should be used. A potential shock
hazard may result if the supplied
3-wire, grounded AC cable ground leave power switch ON and plug/
terminal is defeated or lifted or unplug unit from wall.
the unit is connected to a 2-wire
ungrounded AC outlet.
• The CONTINUUM is designed to per-
form
optimally with no adjustments
or
maintenance for the lifetime of the
product. Do not attempt to open the
bottom cover of the amplier and
refer all service issues to qualied
personnel. The voltages inside the
CONTINUUM can be hazardous.
• Because of the energy efciency
of the CONTINUUM, there is no need
to unplug the unit when not in use;
however, the amplier can be muted
if desired. The rear panel AC mains
switch is not intended for daily use.
Switch failure may result. Simply
