Display Indicators
Before operating the System, be familiar with when and
how the indicator illuminates on the display.

Disc indicators
•
– : always lights.
• : lights to indicate the current disc tray.
•
: lights when a disc is loaded on the disc tray; rotates
during playback; flashes when playback is paused.

Disc operation indicators
• PROGRAM: lights when Program Play is activated.
• RANDOM: lights when Random Play is activated.
•
(repeat)1 DISC A-B
ALL GROUP:
– : lights when One Track/Chapter/Step Repeat is
activated.

: lights when Group Repeat is activated.
– : lights when One Disc Repeat is activated.
– : lights when All Disc Repeat is activated.
– : lights when A-B Repeat is activated.

Tape operation indicators
• : lights when a tape is loaded.
•

(tape direction):
– Lights to indicate the current tape running direction.
– Flashes slowly during playback and recording.
– Flashes quickly while rewinding a tape.
• (reverse mode):
– : tape play continues endlessly.
– : tape automatically reverses once.
– : tape play stops at the end of one side.
• : lights while recording.

3D PHONIC indicator
• Lights when 3D Phonic is activated.

AHB PRO indicator
• Lights when Active Hyper Bass Pro is activated.

SOUND TURBO indicator
• Lights when Sound Turbo II is activated.
7 (Clear Voice) indicator
• Lights when Clear Voice is activated.
8 Timer indicators
• : lights when Daily Timer stands by or is being preset.
• 1/2/3: lights when a Daily Timer (1, 2, or 3) stands by;
flashes while being preset or working.
• REC: lights when the Recording Timer stands by; flashes
while being preset or working.
9 Disc type indicator
• VCD/CD/DVD: lights when a CD, VCD or DVD disc is
loaded.
•
MP3:
lights when an MP3 track is detected.
• WMA: lights when a WMA track is detected.
p TITLE indicator
• Lights to indicate the title number for DVD Video.
q Main display
• While listening to radio: band (or preset number) and
station frequency appear.
• While playing a disc: current status appears.
• While playing the other sources, the source name appears.
w GROUP indicator
• Lights to indicate the group number.
e B.S.P. (Browsable Still Picture) indicator
• Lights when
Browsable
Still Pictures are detected while
playing a DVD Audio.
r CHAP. indicator
• Lights to indicate the chapter number.
t BONUS indicator
• Lights when a DVD Audio with a bonus group is detected.
y TRACK indicator
• Lights to indicate the track number.

FILE
indicator

Lights to indicate the file number.
i PG/PL indicators
• PG: lights when a DVD-VR formatted disc is called up.
• PL: lights when Play List recorded on the DVD-VR
formatted disc is called up.
o PROGRESSIVE indicator
• Lights when the progressive scanning mode is selected.
; RESUME indicator
• Lights when Resume is activated (see page 33).
a A(auto). STANDBY indicator
• Lights when Auto Standby is activated.
• Flashes when disc or tape playback stops with Auto
Standby activated.
s FM reception indicators
• MONO: lights while receiving an FM stereo station in
monaural.
• STEREO: lights while an FM stereo station with
sufficient signal strength is tuned in.
