• Carefully read and observe all safety instructions in the manual and the safety labels on
the device. Safety labels must always be in a proper legible condition. Replace missing
or damaged labels. Ensure that the new device parts are provided with current safety
labels. Contact your authorized dealer for replacement labels
• Keep both terminal and additional parts in good condition

3.4 Safety instruction to install electrical devices
Modern agricultural machines are equipped with electronic components and parts whose
function can be influenced by electromagnetic transmissions of other devices. Such influences
could lead to risks to people in case the following safety instructions are not followed.
When retrofitting electric and electronic devices and/or components in a machine with
connection to the wiring system, the user must ensure by himself that the installation will not
cause any disturbance to the vehicle electronics or to other components. This is, in particular,
applicable to the electronic interference of:
• Lifting unit control
• Front lifting unit
• Front loader
• PTO shafts
• Engine and gearbox
Care should be taken to ensure that the refitted electrical and electronic parts of EMC Directive
89/336/EEC correspond to the respective current version and that they bear the CE mark.
In order to retrofit mobile communication systems (e.g. radio, telephone), it is important to meet
the following requirements:
• Keep in mind that only devices approved in accordance with valid local regulations (e.g.
BZT approval in Germany) are allowed to be installed.
• The device must be properly installed.
• The operation of portable or mobile devices inside the vehicle is only permitted via
connection to firmly installed external antenna.
• The transmitting part must be installed physically separated from vehicle electronics.
• When fitting the antenna, ensure that installation is carried out in a correct manner with
good ground connection between antenna and vehicle mass.
The machine manufacturer’s installation instructions must also be observed for wiring and
installation as well as for max. permissible current collection.
