Check Easy Checker™ Lamps:
1. When the key is turned

ON", lamps (3) (4), (6):
[BX1500] only should come on. If trouble should occur
at any location while the engine is running, the warning
lamp corresponding to that location comes on.
(1) Tum signal/Hazard light indicator
(2) Preheat
(3) Electrical charge
(4) Engine oil pressure
(5) Key switch
(6) Fuel warning lamp [BX1500 only]
IMPORTANT:
• Daily checks with the Easy Checker™ only, are not
sufficient. Never fail to conduct daily checks carefully
by referring to Daily Check section.

7. Turn the key to "PREHEAT" position
and hold it for about 2 to 3 seconds.
For the appropriate preheating time, refer to the table
below:
Temperature Preheating Time
Over 0°C (32°F ) 2 to 3 sec.
O to -5°C (32 to 23°F ) 5 sec.
-5 to -1 S°C (23 to 5°F ) 10 sec.
NOTE:
• Glow plug indicator (2) comes on while engine is being
preheated.

8. Turn the key to "ST ART" position and
release when the engine starts.
IMPORTANT:
• The engine will not start unless the range gear shift
lever (Hi-Lo) and the PTO clutch lever are in the
"NEUTRAL

and "OFF' positions respectively.

Cold Weather Starting
When the ambient temperature is below -5°C (23°F) and
the engine is very cold. If the engine fails to start after 10
seconds, turn off the key for 30 seconds. Then repeat
steps 7 and 8. To protect the battery and the starter; ·r:nake
sure that the starter is not continuously turned

Block
Heater (Option)
A block heater is available as an option from your dealer.
It will assist you in starting your tractor when the ambient
temperature is below -15°C (5°F).
9. Check to see that all the lamps on the
Easy Checker™ are "OFF"
If the lamp is still on, immediately stop the engine and
determine the cause.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. After slowing the engine to idle, turn the
key to "OFF".
2. Remove the key.
