11. SERVICE INTThese settings
establish criteria for service mes-
sages and alert the homeowner
when filters or cooling/heating
system need servicing. This mon-
itor counts the run time hours or
calendar days of operation of the
indoor blower. When the pro-
grammed time is reached, a mes-
sage will appear on the HOME
screen (message programmable
via the CONTACT INFORMA-
TION screen).
The service interval setting can be adjusted for intervals from 20 to
980 hours (in 20-hour increments), and to reset the timer and warning
message. The OFF setting disables the CHANGE FILTER warning.
Two choices are available on this
menu: the Service Monitor and
the Filter Monitor. Both can be set
based on the HVAC system run
time or the calendar. (See Re-
minder Interval.)
Choose a MONITOR: COOL,
HEAT (SYSTEM on 81M28), or
FILTER. Press SELECT. The
Checkup Interval screen
appears.
Use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the number of hours or days for
the service interval. Press SELECT when you reach the desired num-
ber.
12. REMINDERThe reminder period can be set for either HVAC sys-
tem run-time (hours) or based on the calendar (days).
If RUN TIME is chosen, the ser-
vice reminder will be set in hours
and displayed on the INSTALLER
SETTINGS menu as RUN.
After indoor blower has operated for selected number of hours, a Ser-
vice Reminder alerts homeowner that it is time to service system or
filter.
If CALENDAR TIME is chosen, the service reminders will be set in
days and displayed on the INSTALLER SETTINGS menu as CLNDR.
After the selected number of days has passed, a Service Reminder
will be displayed to alert the homeowner that it is time to service the
system or filter.
13. TEMP OFFSETThis feature adds or subtracts the amount of the
setting to/from the detected room temperature.
For example, if actual room tem-
perature is 75ºF and the offset
were set at −1.0ºF, the thermo-
stat’s display would show 74ºF.
The temperature offset is programmable from −3 to +3°F, and the de-
fault offset is zero.
Remote Outdoor Sensor
The remote outdoor sensor (46M98) can be used to aid in the comfort of the
home or simply as a sensing device for outdoor conditions.
In most applications, the SignatureStatt thermostat will have a display of
the temperature sensed by the remote outdoor sensor. With the heat pump
system, the remote outdoor sensor can help determine when to turn on the
second stage of heating for optimal comfort.
When the outdoor sensor is connected, the temperature displays on the
right−hand side of the screen. For example, the display will show OUT-
SIDE 77°F" if the outdoor temperature is 77°F.
