effect whatsoever on unit operation. Only the user−defined dew point ad-
justment setting affects operation per the following:

Dehumidification
Dehumidification is provided only when the thermostat is in cool mode. The
dehumidification signal (D terminal) is used to reduce the speed of the in-
door blower during dehumidification. It does this by de−energizing the D ter-
minal (terminal is an open circuit). Otherwise, the D terminal is activated
with 24VAC. This is always the case when the thermostat is in HEAT or
OFF mode.
The D terminal controls dehumidification. When the thermostat is powered,
the D terminal is always active (24V present) in HEAT and OFF modes and
is also active in the COOL mode EXCEPT when there is a call for dehumidi-
fication. When a dehumidification demand is present, the D terminal is de−
energized (open circuit), and the Y1 terminal becomes activated with
24VAC. Y2 (if available) also becomes activated with 24VAC.
The default mode for dehumidification is OFF and needs to be activated
during installation. When dehumidification is occurring, a small teardrop
icon with a −" symbol inside (shown in margin) is displayed on the screen.
