Heating and Cooling Cycles
NOTE − AUTO CHANGEOVER will appear in the HEAT/COOL menu only
if enabled via Installer Settings."
GO TO: MENU > INSTALLER SETTINGS > AUTO CHANGEOVER > ENABLE [SELECT]

MENU. Use the UP or DOWN
buttons to highlight HEAT/COOL.
Press SELECT.
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to
highlight HEAT, COOL, or AUTO
CHANGEOVER. Press SELECT.
Pressing SELECT will turn on or
off the selected cycle.
You do not have to turn off HEAT to turn on COOL. When HEAT or
COOL or AUTO CHANGEOVER is turned on, all others are
automatically shut off. After pressing SELECT, the home screen will
automatically appear.
Determining if Heating or Cooling is ON
The thermostat display indicates the operating mode, HEAT, COOL, or
AUTO. When the indoor temperature decreases or increases, the HEAT-
ING or COOLING cycle will turn on based on the displayed mode. When
the HVAC system is on, LEDs along the bottom of the thermostat housing
will turn on.
Humidification
Humidification is provided only when the thermostat is in heat mode. The
humidification signal (H terminal) to the humidifier is off when the thermo-
stat is in the COOL mode.
The H terminal controls humidification. When the thermostat is powered,
the H terminal is normally inactive (open circuit) in any mode (HEAT,
COOL, OFF). When a humidification demand is present, H terminal and G
terminal are energized (24V).
Also while humidification is occurring, a small water drop icon with a +"
symbol inside (shown in margin) is displayed on the screen.
The default humidification setpoint is 45% Relative Humidity (RH). The de-
fault mode for humidification is OFF and needs to be activated during instal-
lation.
Humidification Modes
In BASIC mode, humidification occurs if these conditions are met and sig-
nals are present at specific terminals:
S humidification mode has been enabled, and
S the unit is in HEAT mode, and
S humidification demand exists (24V present at H), and
S heat demand exists (W energized [for gas heat, W may be energized
with G de−energized]).
In PRECISION mode, humidification occurs (with or without a heat de-
mand) when:
S humidification has been enabled, and
S the unit is in HEAT mode, and
S humidification demand exists (24V present at H).
NOTE − The D terminal is inactive (reverse logic, the terminal is powered)
during humidification. For complete terminal descriptions, see tables 3, 5,
and 7, on pp 22 and 23.
