Selectingatemporarystartupdevice
Note:Notalldiscsandstoragedrivesarebootable.
Toselectatemporarystartupdevice,dothefollowing:
1.Dependingonthetypeofthestoragedevice,dooneofthefollowing:
•Ifthestoragedeviceisinternal,gotostep2.
•Ifthestoragedeviceisadisc,ensurethatthecomputerisonorturnonthecomputer.Then,insert
thediscintotheopticaldrive.
•Ifthestoragedeviceisanexternaldeviceotherthanadisc,connectthestoragedevicetothe
computer.
2.Turnonorrestartthecomputer.BeforeWindowsstartsup,repeatedlypressandreleasetheF12key
untilStartupDeviceMenuisdisplayed.

3.SelectthedesiredstoragedeviceandpressEnter.Thecomputerwillstartupfromthedeviceyouselect.
