1 Remove the screw
of the chip cover.

Loosen the hex bolt with the wrench and lift off the safety guard assembly.
Set the depth of cut for Jointer to maximum graduation.
*Push the lock plate in the direction
of
the arrow and raise it slightly. Turn the
knob to lock the drum. (Fig.
16)
The drum can be locked at the position
shown in Fig.
17 or Fig. 18.
