Replacing the suction head
Thefeltlter(16) of the suction head can become clogged.
It is recommended to replace the suction head once every
threemonthsinordertoensureunimpededfuelowtothe
carburetor.
To remove the suction head for replacement, pull it out
throughthetankllerneckusingapieceofwirebentatone
end to form a hook.

Replacing/cleaning the spark arrester screen
The spark arrester screen should be checked and cleaned
regularly.
Unscrew 3 screws (11) and remove the upper half of the
mufer(12) and then the spark arrester screen (14).
Caution: Do not use sharp or pointed objects for screen
cleaning. Damaged or misformed screen wires may result.
Reassemblethesparkarresterscreenandtheuppermufer
half, and then tighten the screws.
Cleaning the air lter compartment/fan
compartment
Remove cover.
Remove the fan housing.
CAUTION: To prevent eye injury, always wear eye
protection when cleaning the lter with compressed air!
The entire area (15) can now be brushed clean or cleaned
with compressed air.

Abottlebrushcanbeusedtocleanthecylinderns.
