RPM ISSUES OR THE CONSOLE DOES NOT RECORD DISTANCE
1) SYMPTOM:
a. RPM Issues
b. The console does not record distance.
2) SOLUTION:
a. If the unit is resetting after 30 seconds despite pedaling, verify that INCLINE RESET is in the on position in Manager Mode.
b. Select a different program and check to see if RPM is displayed. If RPM is shown in a different program, update the console software.
c. Remove the right side disk and check to see if LED1 (labeled Generator TPM) on the lower control board flashes when the main drive
pulley is turned.
- If LED 1 does not flash, check the socket connection at the LCB. Replace the LCB if this connector is bad.
- If LED1 still does not flash, check the generator cable. Measure the resistance across 3 wires (White-Red, Red-Black, & Black-White).
The resistance should be approximately 13 ohms (Figure A). Replace the generator if the resistance is not near 13 ohms.
- If LED 1 is flashing, check to see if there is a jumper wire inserted into the J7 port on the left side of the LCB (Figure B). If this jumper
is missing, replace the LCB.
d. If the generator and LCB do not resolve the problem, replace the console.
