Proper usage
This machine is designed exclusively for sawing
wood, for example tree trunks, branches, planks,
etc.
If it is used for any other purpose or if
modications are made to it, the manufacturer
cannot accept any liability.
Also refer to the safety instructions, the assembly
and operating instructions and also the general
accident prevention regulations.
Safety instructions
Do not start or use the petrol chainsaw near other
people or animals.
Do not use the machine if you are tired or
distracted or your reactions are impaired due
to the consumption of alcohol or medication.
Inattention can result in serious injuries.
Wear approved goggles.
Wear approved ear protectors.
Wear good quality gloves.
Wear good quality non-slip work shoes with
safety steel toe-caps. Never use the machine
when wearing sandals or barefoot.
Wear an approved safety helmet at all times when
carrying out forest clearance work.
Do not wear loose-tting clothing or jewellery.
Wear long trousers to protect your legs.
Wear a head cover if you have long hair.
Loose-tting clothing, jewellery and long hair
could be caught in moving parts.
Wear suitable, close-tting work clothing.
Keep your body parts and clothing away from the
chainsaw when you start the engine and whilst it
is running.
Ensure that you are standing on a rm, safe
surface whilst working. Do not walk backwards
carrying the machine to avoid stumbling. Do not
adopt unnatural postures.
If you use the petrol chainsaw for lengthy periods
of time, you may suer circulation problems
caused by vibrations (white nger disease). It
is not possible to provide precise details on the
duration of use in each case since it may dier
from person to person. The following factors may
aect this phenomenon: Circulation problems in
the hands of the user, low outdoor temperatures
and lengthy periods of use. We therefore
recommend that you wear warm work gloves and
take regular breaks.
The emissions from engines are toxic and may
cause asphyxia. Do not start the petrol chainsaw
in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas.
Only ll the fuel tank outdoors or in adequately
ventilated areas.
Petrol and petrol vapours are highly inammable.
Keep it away from inammable materials and
ignition sources, such as hot stoves or ovens.
Do not smoke whilst refuelling or using the
machine.
