Stop the engine (B19)
- Allow the engine to slow down to idling speed
without any throttle.
- Move the control switch (18) downwards to
“STOP”.
Start when the engine is warm
- The procedure is identical for starting when the
engine is cold. However, in this case the choke
lever (17) remains fully pushed in.
Working with the chainsaw
Wear gloves, ear protectors, protective clothing
and a helmet with a visor.
Never saw above shoulder height.
Never saw with one hand.
Never saw on a ladder, in a tree or if you are not
standing on rm footing.
Check the following before starting the engine:
- Is the saw chain tension correct ?
- Is the oil tank full?
- is the chain brake released?
- Start the chainsaw.
Holding the saw (B20)
Hold the front handle (9) in your left hand and the
rear handle (10) in your right hand.
Switch o the saw
Release the throttle lever (19).
Set the control switch (18) to <<STOP>>). Do not
put down the chainsaw until the chain has
stopped moving.
Carburettor adjustment
The carburettor has been set at the factory to
provide the best possible performance. If you
Carry out a function test from time to time
To do this, push the hand guard (4) forwards and
switch on the saw briey. The chain must not
start to move. Release the guard. Pull the hand
guard towards your body. The chain will start
when the saw is switched on.
Machine instructions
Check the chainsaw at regular intervals for signs
of damage.
Ensure that all the parts work correctly and
properly.
Please note that all parts must be tted correctly
in order to function properly.
Have damaged parts repaired immediately in an
after-sales workshop.
Start when the engine is cold (B17-B19)
- Place the petrol chainsaw safely on the ground.
- Move the control switch (18) upwards.
- Pull the choke lever (17) out as far as possible.
- Adopt a safe posture.
- Hold the petrol chainsaw securely on the ground
using your left hand.
- Place your right foot in the shaft of the rear
handle (10).
- Pull the starter cable (11) out as far as possible 3
to 5 times.
- Push the choke lever (17) fully back in.
- Pull the starter cable (11) several times quickly
and forcefully right to the end of the cable until
the engine starts.
Warm up the engine for 30 seconds. Tighten and
release the trigger.
