Cleaning and care
36
Risk of damage due to solvent-based cleaning agents and abras-
ive cleaners.
Solvent based cleaning agents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners or
all-purpose cleaners can cause damage to plastic surfaces and
other parts.
Clean the tumble dryer with a slightly damp cloth and a mild non-
abrasive cleaning agent or soapy water.
Clean the seal around the inside of the door with a damp cloth.
The tumble dryer drum must be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth
after drying items that have been starched.
Dry all parts with a soft cloth.
The drum and other stainless steel parts can be cleaned with a suit-
able stainless steel cleaner if you wish.
The air intake vent is located on the rear of the tumble dryer.
This vent must never be covered or blocked with objects.
Keep the area around the tumble dryer – in particular the air intake
– clear of fluff.
Additional annual cleaning
The Miele Customer Service Department or a trained specialist must
check the interior of the tumble dryer and the ducting for lint deposits
once per year and clean the machine if necessary. In the case of elec-
trically heated tumble dryers, the heater bank and the heating shaft
must also be checked by the Miele Customer Service Department. In
the case of gas-heated dryers, the burner and the burner area must be
checked.
