1-1 Outline
The HC Series has been newly added to the Mitsubishi NC servomotor lineup. The HC Series
servomotor has the following features.
•
••
• Compact
By incorporating a new neodymium magnet, the L dimensions have been shortened by approx.
40%, by that contributing to downsizing of the machine. The shaft shape and flange size are the
same as the conventional HA Series servomotor, so replacement from the HA Series is possible.
•
••
•IP65
With the canon plug type and sealed structure, the machine is drip-proof against the entry of cutting
oil. In addition, the environment performance clears IP65 as a standard.
•
••
•Compatible with high-resolution detector
As with the HA Series, the HC Series has a max. 1,000,000 pulse/rev absolute position detector,
allowing high-accuracy control to be realized. 100,000 and 25,000 pulse/rev detectors are also
available. (The 1,000,000 pulse/rev detector is compatible only for the MDS-B-V1/V2/V14/V24
Series, and the 25,000 pulse/rev is compatible only with the MDS-B-SVJ2 Series.)
•
••
•Powerful motor brakes
All capacities of the HC Series servomotor are provided with magnetic release type motor brake
specifications. The holding torque has been increased by approx. 45% compared to the
conventional HA Series.
•
••
•Low-inertia series
The low-inertia specification HCR Series has been prepared as a servomotor for use in NC
machine tool peripheral axes. This is compact and has a high power rate, so it is suitable for high-
speed positioning of peripheral axes. This also contributes to shortening the cycle time.
