Air Starter System
Draining Water and Cleaning Air
Starter Strainer
1 Close the starter valve handle of the air starter
tank.
2 Remove the drain plug of air starter strainer and
drain water from the air strainer.
3 Remove the cap and remove the filter from the
cap.
4 Clean the filter with diesel fuel, then blow com-
pressed air to dry.
5 Reinatall the air strainer as it is.
6 Open the air starter handle slowly.
Draining Water from Air Starter
Compressor
1 Check the starter valve handle of the air strainer
tank.
2 Remove the drain plug and drain water from the
air strainer compressor.
3 Install the drain plug after draining water.
4 Open the starter valve handle of the air starter
tank slowly.
Note: The air compressor model and shape differ on
the type of the engine.
