Radio Programming through CPS
You can program or change features on your radios by using the Customer Programming Software
(CPS) and the CPS Programming Cable.
CPS is available for free as web based downloadable software at http://www.motorolasolutions.com/
CLR.
4.1
Programming the Radio
Prerequisites:
• Install the Customer Programming Software (CPS) on your computer.
•
Ensure that the radio is turned on.
Procedure:
1 Connect the radio from the Drop-in Charger Tray and CPS Programming Cable to your
computer.
2 Set the cable switch to Analog.
The radio is connected.
3 Open the CPS.
4 Select Radio on the top toolbar.
5 Select Read Radio on the toolbar to get the radio profile.
6 Change the general, audio, menu, channels, scan list, customized PL/DPL settings and select
frequencies and PL/DPL codes on each channel.
7 To save the settings, select Write to Radio on the toolbar.
NOTICE: For more information on the CPS, click F1 to see Help menu in the CPS.
