3. Use the adjusting screw of the potentiometer to make an adjustment until
the numerical value of the measured voltage matches the desired value of
the heating current (1.1 in this example). Turning the adjusting screw to
the right causes the heating current to increase, and turning it to the left
causes it to decrease.

4. Check the required temperature increase: In this example, the tempera-
ture of the temperature sensor (30°C) should be increased by the temper-
ature gradient of 20K, thus resulting in 50°C being displayed. Take the
heating and cooling time of approx. 15minutes into account.
ð If the desired temperature value is not reached after approx. 30min-
utes, adjust the temperature gradient on the potentiometer again.
5. After setting the temperature gradient, remove the current source and
voltmeter.
5.6.2 Gradient setting by resistance value
For the MT-ST160WR and MT-ST160WR/RM device variants, set the tem-
perature gradient by adapting the resistance value.
