1.5 Dial

The Dial button allows the user to initiate an outbound call. When Dial is

selected, the Dial following dialog will be displayed (refer to Figure 3-3 Dial

Screen).

 The user can manually enter the number to be dialed in the Destination

field using the number keys within the main area of the keyboard or the

number keys on the keyboard keypad.

 Alternately, the user may select an entry from the Destination drop down

list.

 The Destination drop down list includes a list of the most recent dial

destinations entered within this dialog box.

The actions associated with each of the dialog buttons are described in the

following sections.

1.5.1 Dial – Start

 When the Start Call button is selected, the software will initiate an

outbound call to the specified destination.

 The Active Call list will be updated to include an entry for the dialed call.

1.5.2 Dial – Cancel

 When the Cancel button is pressed, the Dial dialog will be closed.

 The user may also initiate the Cancel operation by pressing the Esc key

on the keyboard.
