safetycomponentofyourmachine.
DONOTattachanydevicetotheROPSorCSFforpullingpurposes.
TheROPSorCSFisacertiedstructuralsupportandanydamage,re,corrosionormodicationwillweakenthe
structureandreduceyourprotection.Ifthisoccurs,theROPSorCSFmustbereplacedsothatitwillprovidethe
sameprotectionasanewROPSorCSF.
Afteranaccident,reorrollover,thefollowingMUSTbeperformedbeforereturningthemachinetotheeld
orjobsite:

TheROPSorCSFstructureMUSTbereplaced.
•
TheROPSorCSFmountingorsuspension,operatorseatandsuspension,seatbeltsandmountingcomponents
andwiringwithintheoperator'sprotectivesystemMUSTbecarefullyinspectedfordamage.
•
Alldamagedpartsmustbereplaced.
MaintenanceandinspectionoftheRollOverProtectiveStructure(ROPS)
1.CheckthetorqueoftheROPSmountingbolts.Ifnecessary,tightentheboltstothecorrecttorque,forthefront
tightenthemdownto42N·m(31.0lbft)andtherearboltsto170N·m(125.4lbft).OrseeROPStorquespeci-
cationsinthismanual.
2.Checkforcracks,rust,orholesintheROPSandROPSparts.Age,weather,andaccidentscancausedamage
totheROPSandROPSparts.IfyouhaveanydoubtsabouttheROPSsystem,seeyourdealer.
3.Checktheoperator’sseatandthemountingpartsfortheseatbelt.Tightentheboltstothecorrecttorque.Replace
thepartsthathavewearordamage.
