Test Procedure--Phoenix Service Software Set up
Bluetooth Self Tests
Context
A flash adapter (or phone data cable) connected to a PC with Phoenix service software is required.
Steps
1. Place the phone in the flash adapter or connect data cable to phone.
2. Start
Phoenix
service software.
3. Choose File → Scan Product .
4. Select Bus Method (FBUS or USB) from "Connections" box.
5. From the Mode drop-down menu, set to Local.
6. Choose Testing Self Tests.
7. In the
Self Tests
window check the following Bluetooth tests:
•
ST_LPRF_IF_TEST
•
ST_LPRF_AUDIO_LINES_TEST
•
ST_BT_WAKEUP_TEST
8. To run the test, click
Start
.
FM Receiver Self Tests
The self test
ST_FM_RADIO_TEST
used on previous phone designs is not available. As Bluetooth and FM radio
share the same control interfaces, FM radio control interfaces are tested using the Bluetooth Self Tests.
Bluetooth BER Test
Context
SB-6 Bluetooth test box (BT-box) is required to perform a BER test. If a BT-box if not available Bluetooth
functionality can be checked by transfering a file to another Bluetooth phone.
Steps
1. Place the phone in the flash adapter or connect data cable to phone.
2. Start
Phoenix
service software.
3. Choose File → Scan Product .
4. Choose Testing Bluetooth Locals.
5. Locate the BT-box serial number (12 digits) found in the type label on the back of the SB-6 Bluetooth test
box.
6. In the
Bluetooth Locals
window, write the 12-digit serial number on the
Counterpart BT Device Address
line.
