FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
Multisatellite/DiSEqC switch configuration
Select this alternative if your antenna system has more than one
LNB and when you not use any of the alternatives Astra/Hotbird
or Thor/Sirius from the menu Antenna/satellite selection on
page 13.
You can connect up to 4 LNBs. The selection of the different LNBs
must be controlled by an external switch. Refer to page 15, Con-
nection of a DiSEqC switch.
Switch type and port
Here you select the input for each LNB that will be connected.
In this specific example, the DiSEqC 1 input will be selected first.
LNB type
Select Universal or the local oscillator (L. O.) frequency valid
for the connected LNB.
LNB Offset voltage
If the cable down from any of the LNBs is very long, it might be
necessary to increase the voltage to these LNBs by 0,5 V.
In most cases nothing has to be altered here. Leave the default
value 0 V as it is. If the switch does not change between hori-
zontal and vertical polarization, the voltage to a LNB can be in-
creased later.
Increase the voltage:
a. only if a LNB does not change polarization
b. only to the specific LNB mentioned in a. above
Satellite
In this example, select Astra 2A because its LNB is connected
to the DiSEqC 1 input on the switch.
Predefined channel
Select one of the predefined channels and adjust the antenna as
described on page 14, Antenna adjustment and signal check.
Before you can continue, a TV picture from the predefined chan-
nel must be visible in the background.
When you do have a picture and press OK to continue, you re-
ceive a confirmation on the TV screen that the configuration of
the DiSEqC 1 input is ready. You will also be asked if you want to
configure another DiSEqC input. (Continue on the next page.)
For each LNB you connect to the DiSEqC switch, the fol-
lowing configuration has to be performed.
As an example the following part will describe how the LNB in-
tended for Astra 2A will be configured to the DiSEqC input 1 (A)
on the switch and the LNB intended for Eutelsat W2 to DiSEqC
input 2 (B).
