7.1 Troubleshooting Guide

The buzzer keeps
sounding.
A trouble occurred inside this instrument. Turn this instrument OFF, then ON again after a while.
No image is displayed on
the monitor.
The switches on the rear and/or front of the
monitor are set improperly.
Set the switches properly as described in the instruction
manuals for the monitor and other ancillary equipment.
The connected equipment is set improperly. Set the connected equipment properly as described in its
instruction manual.
This instrument is connected improperly. Connect it properly as described in Chapter 2,
“Installation and Connection” in “INSTRUCTIONS
(BASIC)” or “INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The connection cable is broken. Replace the cable with a new one.
The brightness of the monitor is set improperly. Set it properly as described in the instruction manual for
the monitor.
The monitor is turned OFF. Turn the monitor ON.
The connected equipment is turned OFF. Turn the connected equipment ON.
This instrument is turned OFF. Turn this instrument ON.
The menu is displayed. Press the “MENU” button to close the menu display.
The system setups are inappropriate. Set the system properly as described in the description on
the “5.4 Setup of the “Color tone adjustment” Menu” on
page 54 or “5.8 Setup of the “COLOR BALANCE”
Menu” on page 59.
The output signal setups are inappropriate. Set the system properly as described in the description on
the “5.4 Setup of the “Color tone adjustment” Menu” on
page 54 or “5.9 Setup of the “INPUT SETUP” Menu” on
page 60.
The video equipment connected between this
instrument and the connected equipment is
turned OFF.
Turn the video equipment ON.
Desired color tone is not
obtained.
The connection cable is broken. Replace the cable with a new one.
The color tone setup for the monitor is not
properly configured.
Set it properly as described in the instruction manual for
the monitor.
The color tone setup is not properly configured. Set it properly as described in the section 5.4 “Setup of
the “Color tone adjustment” Menu” on page 54.
The displayed image
remains still.
The connected equipment is set to the still
(freeze) image mode.
Release it from the still (freeze) image mode to view the
moving image.
The memory image is displayed. Press the “SOURCE/MEMORY” button to display the
source image (see page 42).
The displayed image is
unstable.
The cables are connected improperly. Connect it properly as described in “Chapter 2
Installation and Connection” in “INSTRUCTIONS
(BASIC)” or “Chapter 2 Installation and Connection” on
page 17 in “INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The connection cable is broken. Connect it properly as described in “Chapter 2
Installation and Connection” in “INSTRUCTIONS
(BASIC)” or “Chapter 2 Installation and Connection” on
page 17 in “INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The sync signal is set improperly. Set it properly as described in the description on the
“Setting “SD SYNC(IN)”” on page 61 in
“INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The displayed image
oscillates.
A source of strong magnetic field is present
near the monitor.
Install the monitor away from the source of strong
magnetic field.
The printed picture is
blurred.
The connected equipment is set improperly. Set it properly as described in “3.3 Setup of Connected
Equipment” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC)” or “3.1
Setup of Connected Equipment” on page 32 in
“INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The subject is moving at a high speed. Freeze the image before capturing it.
