SERVICING PROCEDURES
GENERATOR SET
ROUTINE
CHECK CHART
Before
generator
set is put in operation, check all
components for mechanical security. If any abnormal
condition,
defective part or operating
difficulty
is
detected, repair or service as required. The
generator
set should be kept free of dust,
dirt
and
spilled
oil or
fuel.
Be
sure
proper operating procedure is
followed.

Engine oil
Check
level
(should be at
full
mark
on
oil
indicator).
Add
oil as
necessary
to
bring level
to
full
mark.
Engine
fuel
Check
level
in tank.
See that
fuel line
is properly connected.
Engine radiator
Check
ventilating
openings and
'
water
level.
Remove any obstructions. Keep radiator
full.
Connecting
cables
Check for proper connections.
Check for physical
damage.

Tighten
connections.
Replace
damaged connectors.
Battery
Check electrolyte
level.
Keep
level
above; plates.
Add only
approved water as
necessary.
