grinding disc.
The workpiece gets hot du-
ring grinding. Do not touch
the machined area, allow
it to cool down. There is a
risk of burning. Do not use
coolants or the like.
If you are tired or have con-
sumed alcohol or tablets, do
not work with the device. Al-
ways have a break on time..
Turn off the device and remo-
ve the battery from the device
before servicing the device.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if properly operating and
handling this electric tool, some
residual risks will remain. Due
to its construction and build, this
electric tool may present the fol-
lowing hazards:
a) Lung damage if suitable respi-
ratory protection is not worn.
b) Hearing damage if suitable
ear protection is not worn.
c) Damage to health due to
- touching the area of the
grinding tool which is not
covered;
- ejection of parts of workpi-
eces or damaged grinding
discs.
d) Health injuries which result
from swinging hand and arm,
in the event that the device is
used over a longer period of
time or is not used and main-
tained properly.
Warning! During opera-
tion, this electric tool gene-
rates an electromagnetic
eld which, under certain
circumstances, may impair
the functionality of active or
passive medical implants.
To reduce the risk of serious
or lethal injuries, we re-
commend that persons with
medical implants consult
their doctor and the ma-
nufacturer of their medical
implant before operating
the machine.

Kickback and
corresponding precautions
Kickback is the sudden reaction
from a chopping or blocked
grinder attachment such as a
grinding disc, grinding plate,
wire brush etc. Chopping or
blocking leads to sudden stop-
ping of the rotating attachment.
This causes an uncontrolled elec-
tric tool to accelerate in a direc-
tion counter to the rotational di-
rection of the attachment tool. If,
for example, a grinding disc cuts
into the workpiece or blocks it,
the edge of the grinding disc that
digs into the workpiece can get
caught and, through that, break
off the grinding disc or cause a
kickback. The grinding disc then
moves towards or away from
the operator, depending on the
direction of rotation of the disc
