7. Circuit Descriptions
Index of this chapter:
7.1 Introduction
7.2 Power Supply
7.3 DC/DC Converters
7.4 Front-End Analogue and ISDB-T reception
7.5 HDMI
7.6 Video and Audio Processing - MT5366IVGG/B
7.7 Back-End
Notes:
•Only new circuits (circuits that are not published recently)
are described.
• Figures can deviate slightly from the actual situation, due
to different set executions.
• For a good understanding of the following circuit
descriptions, please use the wiring, block (see chapter
9. Block Diagrams
) and circuit diagrams (see chapter
10. Circuit Diagrams and PWB Layouts
). Where
necessary, you will find a separate drawing for clarification.
• In this chassis, the cable position numbers can be defined
via the rule that the number is always starting with an “E”
followed by the connector number of the current sourcing
board. For instance the position number of a PSU to SSB
cable would be “ECN9302” since the connector at the PSU
is numbered “CN9302”.
7.1 Introduction
The TPM9.2L LA platform is covering the 4000 series styling. It
uses the MT5366 main microprocessor. The major differences
compared to its predecessors are the ISDB and LAN
capabilities; The 4000D series have ISDB and Ethernet
functionality. The 4000G series on to of that supports Ginga.
7.1.1 Implementation
Key components of this chassis are:
• MT5366SVOG/B System-On-Chip (SOC) TV Processor
• SUT-RB211TV combined analogue, ISDB-T tuner
• CXD2828ER ISDB-T demodulator
• Sil9185ACTU HDMI Switch
• STA381BWTR Audio amplifier
• RTL8201EL-VB-CG ethernet media access controller
