Note: The brewing process does not stop when you remove the jug. If you
do not put the jug back onto the hotplate within 20 seconds, the lter
basket overows.
Note: Make sure the jug lid is in place when you put the jug back onto the
hotplate. Without the jug lid, the drip stop function is activated automatically.
Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning after every use
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it
under the tap.
1 Press the START/STOP button to switch off the coffeemaker and
remove the plug from the wall socket.
2 Wipe the outside of the coffeemaker and the hotplate with a damp
cloth.
3 Cleanthelterbasket,thepermanentlterandthejugwithhot
water and some washing-up liquid.
Cleaning the coffee bean chute
You have to clean the coffee bean chute every 1 to 2 weeks, depending on
the frequency of use.
1 Put the mains plug in the wall socket.
, The START/STOP button lights up.
2 Press the START/STOP button twice and wait two seconds. Remove
the plug from the wall socket.
3 Press the START/STOP button to switch on the coffeemaker and
remove the plug from the wall socket.
Note: By pressing the START/STOP BUTTON, the valve in the coffee bean
chute remains open when you unplug the appliance. This is necessary for
cleaning.
4 Inserttheatendofthecleaningbrushhandleintothechutelock
and turn the lock to the ‘open’ position.
5 Open the lid of the coffee bean chute.
