Tip:BlockingmovieswithanNC‐17ratingalsoblocksprogramswiththenow‐obsoleteXrating,which
canstilloccurintheprogramdataofoldermovies.
Toblock
moviesbasedonMPAAr atings:
1. FromtheHomescreenmenu,navigatetoSettings>Parentalcontrols,andthenenteryour
parentalcontrolPIN.
2. IntheParentalcontrolsscreen,navigatetoTVtuner>Movieratings.
3. Selecttheratinglevelyouwanttoblock.Youneedonly
selectoneratinglevel,andallhigher
levelsareautomaticallyblocked.
Blocking based on Other ratings
YourTVcanblockprogramshavingratingsthathadnotbeendefinedwhentheTVwasmanufactured.It
doesthisbydetectinganewRatingRegionTableinaprogramandthendownloadingthenewtableand
displayingitsratingintheParentalcontrols.
WhentheTVdownloadsanewRating
RegionTable,itaddsanewoptiontothelistofratingtypes:
Otherratings.IfyouseethisoptionintheParentalcontrolsscreen,youhavetunedtoastationthat
hasimplementedanewratingtable.OncethenewratingtablehasbeendownloadedtotheTV,
it
remainsintheTVuntilitisfactoryreset,andyoucanconfigureblockingbasedonthenewratings.
NewRegionRatingTablescanhaveindependentratinglevels,orratinglevelsthatinteractinthesame
waysasthebuilt‐inUSTVandMPAAMovieratings.
