Use of a new battery (03_27, 03_28)
Make sure that the terminals are connected correctly.
CAUTION
DO NOT REVERSE THE POLARITY: RISK OF SHORT CIRCUIT AND DAMAGE
TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
WARNING
USED BATTERIES ARE HARMFUL FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. COLLECTION
AND DISPOSAL SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT IN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULA-
TIONS IN FORCE.
COMPLY WITH THE INSTALLATION OF BATTERY CABLES, OTHERWISE IN
THE EVENT OF REVERSE POLARITY, THE FUSES 20A 30A AND 10A WILL NOT
ONLY BE INTERRUPTED, BUT IT MIGHT ALSO DAMAGE THE ELECTRONIC IG-
NITION AND INJECTION DEVICE.
Long periods of inactivity
If the vehicle has not been used for long periods, it is necessary to periodically re-
charge the battery, bearing in mind that the battery tends to go completely flat within
around three months. The battery must be recharged with a current load equal to 1/10
of the battery rated capacity (~ 1A), for a period not longer than 8 hours. For this
operation contact an Authorised Service Centre. When refitting a removed battery,
make sure that all terminals are properly connected.
