Engine Runs Irregularly, Stalls or Misfires
Possible Weak Spark Cause Solution
Fouled or defective spark plugs Inspect, clean and/or replace spark plugs
Worn or defective spark plug wires See your Polaris dealer
Incorrect spark plug gap or heat range Set gap to specs or replace plugs
Loose spark plug connections Check all connections and tighten
Water present in fuel Replace with new fuel
Clogged exhaust p ipe screen fitting Clean screen fitting
Water in exhaust pipe (Virage i) Drain exhaust
Low battery voltage Recharge battery to 12.5 VDC
Possible Lean Fuel Mixture Cause Solution
Low or contaminated fuel Add or change fuel, clean the fuel system
Low octane fuel Replace with recommended fuel
Clogged fuel filter Replace filter
Incorrect jetting See your Polaris dealer
Possible Rich Fuel Mixture Cause Solution
Overuse of choke Inspect, clean and/or replace spark plugs
Fuel is very high octane Replace with lower octane fuel
