Battery
Battery Removal
1. Release the battery by loosening t he
fasteners and removing the bar/EMM
bracket (1).
2. If applicable, move the electrical box
out of the way. It does not have to be
opened for battery removal. NOTE:
Some wiring may have to be removed
from the wire clips for access to the
battery.
3. Remove the battery vent tube from the
battery.
4. Disconnect the black (negative) battery
cable first.
5. Disconnect the red (positive) battery
cable next.
6. Lift the battery out of the watercraft,
being careful not to tip it sideways and
spill any electrolyte.
Improperly connecting or disconnecting battery cables can result
in an explosion and cause serious injury or death. When removing
the battery, always disconnect the negative (black) cable first.
When reinstalling the battery, always connect the negative (black)
cable last.
WARNING
1
If electrolyte spills, immediately wash it off with a solution of one
tablespoon baking soda and one cup water to prevent damage to
the vehicle.
